FC Red Bull Salzburg is losing its sports director Bernhard Seonbuchner, who is leaving the club after 16 months in office to join Bayern Munich. Seonbuchner has been active in various functions in the Red Bull Academy since 2010, including as a coach, head of youth development and sports director. The 42-year-old German is following in the footsteps of his predecessor Christoph Freund, who also joined FC Bayern Munich. The Salzburgers are thus remaining without a title for the first time in years. Bernhard Seonbuchner will take over the position of head of game and coach development at the German record champion. Manfred Pamminger, the managing director of the Red Bull Football Academy, will lead the youth department from now on as overall manager. A team of department heads will support him in this role. Raphael Ikache is returning to the academy and taking on the role of sports director of the academy. Ikache was last active in the coaching team of the Bulls under the dismissed Daniel Beichler as co-coach. Manfred Pamminger wishes Bernhard Seonbuchner all the best for his new task and sees the change as an opportunity to adapt the structures in the Red Bull Academy. The responsible parties are adjusting the academy structure to the changed circumstances. Bernhard Seonbuchner was also employed by FC Liefering.
